What are the requirements for undergoing HydraFacial™ treatments?
Before undergoing our HydraFacial™ treatments, ensure compliance with the following criteria: a minimum 6 months off Accutane, Tetracycline, or Retin A; at least 3 months post-surgery on the applied area; a minimum of 1 month post-laser skin treatments, hair removal, or permanent makeup application on the area; minimum 1 month post-deep peel (jessner type); 2 weeks post-Botox or cosmetic fillers; minimum 3 days post-electrolysis, pre & post-waxing; a minimum of 7 days pre & post Retinol or Retinyl, glycolic use; 7-10 days out of the sun; and if susceptible to cold sores, consultation with a doctor for medication prior to treatment is advisable, as well as avoiding treatment on open skin/rashes in the area.
These contraindications include allergies, active skin cancer, epilepsy (particularly with LED LIGHT), uncontrolled diabetes/diabetic neuropathy, active rosacea, eczema or psoriasis in the targeted area, hepatitis, vitiligo, port wine stain, shingles, pregnancy/nursing (due to unpredictable skin reactions), inflammation, autoimmune disorders like lupus, active acne, blood disorders, and the use of blood thinners that may lead to bruising. It is crucial to prioritize safety and consult with a healthcare professional if any of these conditions apply.
Due to concerns related to lymphatic drainage, individuals with conditions such as urinary system infections (involving kidneys, bladder, urethra), Crohn’s Disease, hyperthyroidism, deep venous thrombosis, and lymphedema cannot undergo the 75-minute Platinum facial but are eligible for the 45-minute Deluxe option.
